They market their Redefine Intensive Renewing Serum, which is the subject of our review today, as being able to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of firmness. Essentially then, the serum promises to give you younger looking skin. It is important to note that the manufacturers do not recommend using this serum if you have sensitive skin or suffer from acne.

Vitamin A or retinol is responsible for helping to produce tissue that keeps skin firm and healthy. Alkyl Benzoate makes skin soft and smooth, however, it is also widely considered to be an agent that can contribute to developing cancer. Dimethicone is a silicone-like substance used to lock in moisture. One of the issues though is precisely that it rests so heavily on the working of Vitamin A, to the exclusion of other clinically proven ingredients required for a range of purposes from collagen stimulation to improved hydration, even skin tone and more. These ingredients include but are not limited to wheat extract, Electric Daisy Flower, Alpenrose and others.
The manufacturer recommends that you use this serum in the evening for best results. Start by cleansing and toning your skin. Open one capsule by twisting off the tail. Smooth the serum over your face and neck, avoiding your eyes. Leave it on. The serum can turn fabrics yellow if it comes into contact so avoid this.

We agree that the technology and key ingredient base uses the skin’s own renewing potential to smooth and firm your skin. It also contains an adequate moisture barrier. However, it does not contain adequate moisture, potentially drying out your skin and causing it stress. This is why it is not advised for sensitive skin. There are a number of key clinically proven ingredients missing which would have rounded off the formulation, and countered the potentially harsh effects of a high-dose vitamin A treatment. Regarding the near medical prescription strength claims, one of the issues is that without cGMP certification and third-party verification, there is no factual confirmation of such a high strength, or that no contaminants or changes to the ingredients have occurred during manufacturing. The trademarked Retinal-MD Technology shows that much effort has gone into how to deliver the ingredients. But the most assured way of delivering a superior form of vitamin A would have been through an ingredient patent, and there isn’t one. Other advanced formulations that have proven to be effective are leading with a minimum of five patented ingredients by comparison.
