Jojoba seed oil (Simmondsia Chinensis) seems to be one of the only natural ingredients that make up this lip plumper. As a moisturizer, it helps to seal in hydration, particularly when lips are dry and cracked. Squalane is a hydrocarbon, that is usually produced by the human body. However, in this product, we believe that it has been derived from chemical sources or from shark liver oil and has been included for its emollient properties. Ethylhexyl Palmitate is a fatty acid, generally used in cosmetics as a solvent. Tribehenin is a glyceryl triester or glyceryl tribehenate – which is a lubricant often included in cosmetic formulations. Sorbitan Isostearate is another fatty acid, however, it is most commonly incorporated in beauty products as an emulsifying agent.

After completing our review for Beverly Hills Instant Lip Plumper, we found that there were parts and aspects that we liked and some that we were slightly concerned about. Firstly, we did appreciate that this lip plumper contains Jojoba oil, which is known for its benefits. We also liked that the product seemed to be priced at an industry standard. Unfortunately, we felt that there was a large number of chemical ingredients and additives present, which made us wary. This, coupled with the lack of returns policy raised further concerns about the confidence and effectiveness of this product as a volumizer.
